Blame it on the switch to NewBlogger Beta. That's my plan. Apologies to anyone who was having trouble loading the blog. The transition appears to have been successful, though.
The timing of this switchover really stinks, though. If I hadn't been able to adapt to the new system, and couldn't post, I'd start getting frantic e-mails from folks on the mainland wondering about the baby.
Oh yeah, that happens anyway. Carry on.

- I'm originally from North America and I work in the travel industry. I started this blog when I was living in Baltic Europe and wanted to keep family and friends updated on my first pregnancy. I took maternity leave for a year, and came a little closer to figuring out what I want to be when I grow up - but alas, the job of "Katharine Hepburn" was taken. So after fifteen months of Stay-at-Home-Mom-hood, I returned to the workforce in January 2006. My husband and I have a daughter born in 2004 and a son born in 2006 (known on this blog as "Gigi" and "Halley" respectively). My company transferred me to a nice warm island in July 2006, where I get to spend the next three years (at least!) So why the name "Purple Scare"?
